Basil Lime Margarita

When I envisioned my blog I wanted to make sure I would never compromised in the area of honesty, I didn’t want to set unrealistic expectations for what healthy living was.  As I sure we all can attest to, transitioning into a healthy lifestyle can easily become an emotional battle of the cans and can not’s  and that is a battle most of us will not win, being healthy is structured but it also should be balanced, you should be enjoying your life and feeling great while doing so.  So while it may be a bit unconventional to have a cocktail section of a clean eating and fitness lifestyle blog, it’s honest! I enjoy having a date night at the end of the week with my husband and yes I do have a glass of wine or a margarita or both I don’t believe in deprivation, I have gone that route and it doesn’t work for me so rather than depriving I wanted to incorporate way to make smarter choices without all of the excess “junk”.  I have kept these recipes super basic and with completely natural ingredients, well almost, minus the Tequila and Champs.

 

Basil Lime Margarita

 

 

Ingredients:

 

Directions:

  1. In a cocktail mixer add tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice, basil, Lemon Sour with Bitters and Ice
  2. Shake, shake, shake and serve
